Plot Summary
What is real? What is fiction? In the film, British writer Louis Fr é d é in is hindered in his novel writing and unable to start writing. After his wife returns from a vacation abroad, he turns to writing a movie script about a woman who finds herself. His wife couldn't find herself abroad, but she met a young German man who claimed to be a poet in the elevator, and they had an ambiguous relationship. Later, the young German man went to England and was invited to have tea at Louis' house, confessing his love and appreciation for Louis' books. What does that young German person really like? Is it Louis' book? Or is it Louis' wife? Louis was deeply amused but also puzzled by this, as the novelist portrayed the image of this young German man in his script.
