Description
Plot Summary
Cui Mingliang (Wang Hongwei), Yin Ruijuan (Zhao Tao), Zhang Jun (Liang Jingdong), and Zhong Ping (Yang Tianyi) are actors from the Fenyang County Cultural Troupe in Shanxi Province. In the early days of reform and opening up, although they lived an ordinary life, they had a relatively abundant spiritual world. The continuous deepening of reform and opening up has exposed them to various new things, and has also given them a better understanding of themselves, leading them on different paths in life. However, by the end of 1980, they found that although they had already changed completely, they still had nothing. Compared to coastal cities like Guangzhou, the pace of reform and opening up in small inland Chinese towns like Fenyang is always slow and serious, but Cui Mingliang and his team did not realize this. And their constant lowering of their bottom line in order to make money has caused a complete rift in their spiritual world
