Plot Summary

The story is set in a future world five hundred years later, telling the adventurous journey of Serenity, a homeless spaceship led by Captain Malcolm Reynolds (abbreviated as Mal), drifting through the universe after fighting against the Federation War. The crew and passengers living together in the spacecraft Serenity, while shuttling among the galaxies ruled by the federal government, should also open up a new world between the planetary frontiers. Whether legal or illegal, each crew member needs to accept any job in order to survive, and every passenger on board has their own ulterior motives. Therefore, those who have different pasts and reasons for boarding will need to hide their original identities before achieving their goals. In order to evade tracking by the federal government, Serenity and its crew have to travel to many remote planets. For this reason, when they face various challenges and difficulties, they will adopt a cowboy like style to solve them. FIREFLY talks about their ever-changing lives and relationships, and their search for their own meaning in unpredictable environments. Although the series was cut after only one season, after efforts from all parties, a film version of the TV series "Serenity" was finally produced and released in the United States on September 30, 2005.
