Description
Plot Summary
During the American Civil War, the continuous battles and the successive defeats of the Southern army left soldier Inman (played by Jude Law) disheartened. In order to bid farewell to his lover Ada (played by Nicole Kidman), he left the army and embarked on a long journey home. In his hometown, the remote town of Cold Mountain, Ada also suffered from the torment of life and the pain of waiting. The death of her father and the departure of her slaves made it difficult for Ada, who was pampered, to continue her life. With the help of Ruby Thewes (played by Ren é e Zellweger), a mountain girl, Ada gradually learns to struggle against the rough and sharp life around her, and looks forward to Inman's return. Crossing through the continuous wars and cold mountains is the only connection between them. Here, even if all the beliefs of the past heaven have been shattered, you can still heal and relieve pain.
