Description

Plot Summary

Tahiti is the main island of French Polynesia, resembling an upside down gourd. It belongs to a volcanic island, with dark gravel beaches along the coast, suitable for surfing and sailing out to sea, and deep-sea fishing is also popular. In places with strong winds and waves, there are water spouts. When the waves hit the shore, seawater gushes out from the caves in the crevices of the rocks, creating a spectacular sight. The central part of Tahiti is densely covered with green forests, majestic mountains, waterfalls, streams, and lakes, making it a great place for hiking and walking. Volcanic ash has created fertile land, and tropical fruits such as breadfruit, pineapple, papaya, mango, banana, etc. can be seen everywhere. The historical relics of Tahiti are best seen in the tombs of indigenous chiefs. The tomb is located at the corner of Venus, adjacent to a monument commemorating the landing of European explorers and an abandoned lighthouse. The nearby black sand beach is crowded with sea bathers, including beautiful young women. There are various types of museums in Tahiti, each with its own characteristics. The Tahiti Museum showcases the cultural background and traditional customs of Polynesia. The Gao Geng Museum is dedicated to commemorating the famous French Impressionist painter Gao Geng of the 19th century. Gao Geng was obsessed with the art of primitivism and focused on creating exotic Pacific landscapes. Tahiti was a place he lingered in.
