Description

Plot Summary

A family of four members of parliament live in a high-end apartment on the left bank of Paris. The young daughter of the senator, Baroma (played by Garance Le Guillermic), is a mischievous and quirky philosopher who enjoys observing the world through a camera. She is a genius under the age of 12. Unwilling to become the destined goldfish in the fish tank, Baroma planned a suicide on her birthday. The female gatekeeper of the apartment, Josiane Balasko, is a fat and ugly 54 year old widow. She carefully maintained the crude image of the gatekeeper, building a rich spiritual world for herself inside the secret room. But Baroma vaguely discovered this secret, and the newly arrived Japanese gentleman, Kogoro Ozu (played by Higashigo Itokawa), also noticed the unknown side of Honey. Under the polite guidance of Ozu, not only did Honi gradually shed her humble disguise, but Baroma also began to re-examine life and death. This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by French female author Miaoliye Barberi.
