Plot Summary

In 1943, the invading Japanese army invaded Changde, a military stronghold in northwest Hunan, in order to save the inevitable fate of failure. The 57th Division of the 74th Army of the National Army stationed in the area was ordered in a critical situation. Under the leadership of division commander Yu Chengwan (played by Lv Liangwei), 8000 soldiers with the code name Huben prepared to engage in a decisive battle with enemies several times their size. On the eve of the dense clouds of war, Company Commander Feng Baohua (played by Yuan Wenkang) postponed his marriage to his fianc é e Wanqing (played by An Yixuan) in order to fully prepare for the war.
