Plot Summary

In the year 2080 AD, due to the application of solar skylights, humanity has basically overcome the energy crisis. Due to the widespread application of new energy sources harming the interests of many traditional energy merchants, they are trying to eliminate Dr. Ma, who invented the solar sky canopy. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Dr. Ma's invention of the solar powered sky canopy, future police officer Zhou Zhihao (played by Andy Lau) and his wife Meili (played by Fan Bingbing) are responsible for the security work of the conference. Unexpectedly, under the command of energy businessman Karon (played by Fan Shaohuang), their team of modified humans breaks into the conference site midway and attempts to kill Dr. Ma. In order to protect Dr. Ma, many future police officers led by Zhou Zhihao engaged in a fierce battle with the Reformed People's Corps. While covering for Dr. Ma's departure from the venue, Zhou Zhihao's wife Meili unfortunately sacrificed herself, and the Karon side also suffered heavy losses. They want to go back in time to kill the young Dr. Ma in order to change the future.
