Description
Plot Summary
The film is adapted from Alex Flynn's novel of the same name, written in 2007, and wraps a legendary story of a beauty and a beast in a thriller and gothic cloak. The story takes place in Manhattan, New York, where a wealthy young man named Kyle (played by Alex Pettyfer), who is handsome but has poor character, invites his classmate Kendra (played by Mary Kate Olsen) to his party to embarrass her. Kendra, who was deeply insulted, immediately cast a curse on him, turning him into a detestable 'monster beast'. The curse will only be lifted when a girl truly falls in love with him from the bottom of her heart. Kyle's father, seeing his son turn into such a cold person, drove him to his house in Brooklyn and placed him under house arrest, leaving him only a loyal butler and a blind governess. Just as Kyle believed he could never lift the spell, fate brought his classmate Linda (Vanessa Hudgens) into his home. Will Linda become Kyle's true love and help him break free from the curse?
