Plot Summary

The film won the Silver Bear Award for Screenplay at the 2011 Berlin Film Festival. 17-year-old Nick (played by Tristan Halilaj) resides in the northern region of Albania. I am about to graduate from high school and am preparing to obtain my graduation certificate to open a small internet cafe to make a living. 15-year-old sister Ludina hopes to get into college and live her dream life. But this ordinary family became overwhelmed by the dispute over land ownership, and their father was charged with murder and hid in the deep mountains. According to ancient customs, if a family member kills someone, the victim's family can also kill a male relative of a murderer. Therefore, all males in the family are not allowed to leave the house for a single step. The burden of the entire family fell on Ludina's shoulders. She was forced to leave school to work and support her family. The new responsibilities have enabled Ludina to gradually grow into an expert who can handle things independently. Nick, on the other hand, became depressed and restless due to his long-term solitary life.
