Description
Plot Summary
Mike Kovac (played by Colin O'Donoghue) is a theological student from a funeral home, but he can never find any attachment to his faith in his heart. By chance, Mike was sent to the Vatican to attend a training course for exorcists. Even though he had doubts about God, let alone the mysterious exorcism ritual, Mike debated with his teacher from a scientific perspective. On the recommendation of his teacher, he went to visit Father Lucas Trevin (played by Anthony Hopkins), who gained fame for exorcism. Although he personally experienced Father Lucas' exorcism ritual, he still did not believe in the existence of demons until a series of unbelievable things happened to him, and the depths of Mike's soul truly shook... Adapted from Matt Baglio's novel "Ritual: The Making of Modern Exorcists," the story is inspired by real events.
