Plot Summary

In 1964, post-war Japan was in a period of high economic growth, with the Tokyo Olympics approaching and the whole country immersed in boiling enthusiasm. People's lives are quietly changing in the familiar town of Yoritomo 3-chome. Ryunosuke Kagawa (played by Hidetaka Yoshioka) has finally married the gentle Hiromi (played by Yuki Kojima), and his adopted son Chunnosuke (played by Kenta Suga) has entered high school and is striving towards Tokyo University. The couple is also about to embark on a new life together.
