Plot Summary

By chance, Lucius Modest (played by Hiroshi Abe), a Roman Empire bathhouse designer who travels through the past and future, east and west, transplanted the soup culture of the "flat faced" Japanese into the design of Roman baths. As a result, he gained the love and admiration of Emperor Hadrian (played by Masanobu Ichimura) and the people.
