Plot Summary

In the sixth year of the Qianlong reign, the young girl Wei Yingluo entered the Forbidden City as a palace maid in search of the truth about her elder sister's death. After investigation, Yingluo confirmed that her sister's death was related to the absurd prince Hongzhou, and she was determined to seek justice. Empress Fucha was skilled in etiquette and law, worried that Yingluo might go astray, and tried her best to provide her with warmth and help. Under the careful guidance of the empress, Wei Yingluo gradually grew into an upright and strong palace official, and put aside resentment and lived a serious life. The unfortunate passing of the empress caused numerous misunderstandings between Yingluo and Qianlong. The two went from mutual hostility to eventually understanding and supporting each other.
