Plot Summary
This six episode series, co produced by BBC and Paramount+, is based on the Brink's Mat robbery, also known as the 'crime of the century'. On November 26, 1983, six armed robbers were at Brink's Mat warehouse near Heathrow Airport. Originally planning a cash robbery, they accidentally discovered up to 3000 kilograms of gold bars held by Johnnie Walker&Co; Finally, they plundered gold, diamonds, and cash worth 26 million pounds and successfully escaped. Most of the gold after the robbery was not recovered, and only two of the participants were convicted. But this major event has caused various aftermath: the former Zhuangxin Wanfeng Bank fell into crisis and eventually collapsed, dirty money poured into London's waterfront real estate, and also flowed into various international criminal activities; As for the curse of Brink Mat, it quietly arose because those who participated in it ultimately died from gunshot wounds decades ago.
