Description
Plot Summary
High school student Malcolm (Shameik Moore) is a geek who loves hip-hop music and has a talent for performing. His eccentric personality makes him an outsider in the eyes of his classmates, so he is often bullied. He has to be careful everywhere and hopes to spend his final year of high school low-key. One day, Malcolm and his friends were invited to a drug dealer's birthday party. Malcolm agreed to go in order to meet his long admired Nagia (Zo Kravitz). Unexpectedly, he and his friends were involved in a terrible drug dispute and forced to flee for their lives in Los Angeles. Malcolm doesn't want to go to jail. Getting into Harvard has always been his dream, and will this accident affect his Harvard dream?
