Plot Summary

This film tells the story of how a kindergarten principal guides three criminals onto the right path. Coincidentally, the cute Troshkin and the dangerous thief 'lecturer' look like twin brothers. The police instructed them to delve into the "lecturer" criminal gang and investigate where they hid their stolen goods. But the real 'lecturer' who escaped from prison caused the plot to take a spin. The reason why this movie is classified as a New Year's comedy is because the most touching scene of the fugitive admitting that his lifestyle is not right happens to happen at the time of bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the new. Mr. Lucky "is not just a New Year comedy, in fact, it is considered one of the best Soviet films. There are no exact statistics, but subjectively speaking, this movie has the most famous quotes among Soviet films, with a rough estimate of over 150. A commemorative bronze statue of Yevgeny Leonov playing the role of "lecturer" has been built across from the Moscow Film Studio.
