Description
Plot Summary
In 0079, humanity had already developed and established many massive colonial satellites in the universe, allowing humans to reside in it. The Principality of Gion, located in SIDE3, could not bear the exploitation and oppression of the Earth Federation government, so it declared independence and formed a declaration of war against the Earth Federation. During the war, both sides developed mobile soldiers and deployed them on the battlefield. NEWTYPE teenager Amro Ray accidentally drove the newly developed RX-78-2 Gundam of the Federal Army and got involved in what later became known as the "One Year War", where he met his archenemy Chara Aznable. The story revolves around Amuro and depicts his growth following Gundam's mother ship, the White Fortress, through various difficulties. It is also recognized as a rare "NewType". However, in episode 43, Amuro is able to telepathically connect with several key characters in Fort White, confirming that they are all NewTypes awakened by Amuro.
