Plot Summary
On a snowy winter day in Kobe, Japan, Hiroko Watanabe (Miho Nakayama) once again mourned uncontrollably on the third anniversary of her former fianc é Fujii's death. Because she couldn't suppress her longing for her deceased lover, Hiroko Watanabe found the address of "Fujii Tree" when she was studying in Otaru City in her middle school classmate list, and sent a love letter that she thought was meant for heaven. Unexpectedly, soon Hiroko Watanabe received a reply signed as "Fujii Tree (Miho Nakayama)". After further investigation, she learned that Fujii Tree was a girl of similar age to her and also a classmate of her boyfriend Fujii Tree (Takashi Kashiwara) during his youth. In order to learn more about her former lover's situation during her high school years, Hiroko Watanabe began to write letters to female Fujii. As Fujii continued to reminisce, she gradually discovered that the Fujii tree with the same name and surname as her in her youth had hidden a tenderness for her.
