Description
Plot Summary
This is a spectacle that few people have witnessed with their own eyes. An irreconcilable enemy is trapped on a remote African island. Gold award winning producers Derek and Beverly Jubert spent two years documenting this survival war through their lens. This program takes the audience deep into this battlefield, witnessing how the highly specialized lion pack, which almost exclusively feeds on bison, fights for survival. This couple traveled to the Duba Plain in the Okavango Delta of Botswana to film this two-hour special program. The Jubert couple meticulously documented how these situations affected the hunting and survival skills of animals. The audience will be able to see how these lions living in the swamp area adapt to this environment both physically and psychologically; How do female lions demonstrate teamwork spirit during hunting, and how do bison make good use of their advantage of being "numerous and powerful" to launch rare bison gatherings.
