Plot Summary

Walter Kowalski (played by Clint Eastwood), a retired Ford factory worker who participated in the Korean War, lives alone in a low-income Asian immigrant community in a small town in Michigan after his wife's death. The neighbor is a big Miao family, and one of the siblings caught Walter's attention. Sister Su (played by Ahney Her) is humorous and talkative, gradually becoming friends with stubborn and somewhat racist Old Walter; The taciturn younger brother Tao (played by Bee Vang) is forced by his distant cousin to join a local Miao gang and is assigned to steal Walter's treasured 1972 Ford vintage car on his first mission. Unable to steal the car, Tao was forced by his family to work for Walter to redeem himself, but he never expected to establish a deep friendship with Walter. But the local Miao gang refused to stop there. For the safety of Su and Tao and the peace of the community, how should veteran Walter act?
