Plot Summary
The film "A Dangerous Method" was originally titled "The Talking Cure" and was adapted from the stage script of the same name by British screenwriter Christopher Hampton ("Atonement"). Sabina Spearling (Keira Knightley) comes from a Russian Jewish family. In 1904, he was sent to Zurich to treat hysteria and became one of the psychoanalytic patients of psychiatrist Jung (played by Michael Fassbender). Jung discovered that she had a tendency towards abuse, was a sex addict, and also had a deep sense of self blame. During the diagnosis and treatment process, a secret and indifferent love broke out between them. But Jung valued his reputation and wanted to hide this relationship, claiming that Sabina was a delusional maniac. And this deceptive behavior also led Jung to diverge from his mentor, the founder of the psychoanalytic school, Freud (played by Viggo Mortensen), in terms of ideology.
