Plot Summary

In 1939, the international situation was turbulent and unstable. Due to being restrained by the US supported National Army on the Chinese battlefield, there have been waves of anti American sentiment in Japan, from the army to the general public, calling for the country to form a tripartite alliance with Germany and Italy and expand its influence towards the United States. Behind this almost crazy clamor, only a few people can calmly recognize the international situation, including Navy Minister Mitsumasa Minamoto (played by Akira Hashimoto), Navy Vice Minister Isoroku Yamamoto (played by Hiroshi Aso), and others. But their voices were intentionally or unintentionally ignored, and the higher ups ultimately decided to launch a campaign against the United States. At this critical juncture of fate, Isoroku Yamamoto was appointed as the Commander in Chief of the Combined Fleet. Knowing it was impossible, Yamamoto planned the Pearl Harbor attack that shocked the world and will forever be recorded in the annals of war.
