Description
Plot Summary
The film tells the story of the first black pilots in the United States during World War II, who overcame institutional and racial limitations and formed a special experimental bomber escort team called Tuskegee Airmen. Their planes were all painted with 'red tails', which became their nickname. The "Red Tail" is the first pilot formation in US military history composed of African Americans, sent to Alabama for war training and ready to face at any time. There, they experienced rampant racism and harassment, and their flying and combat abilities were once questioned, but the outstanding performance of the "Red Tail" in the air prompted the Air Force to abolish racial segregation. They also played an indispensable role in the conflicts with Italy and Germany.
