Plot Summary

Naomi Watts said, "I feel honored to play Diana - a beloved and iconic figure all over the world, and I am looking forward to the challenge of playing her on screen." However, her portrayal of Diana is not very pleasing, as the story tells of a two-year unknown extramarital affair between her and a cardiac surgeon, Dr. Hasnat Kahn, starting in 1995. Hasnat Khan kept the secret until 2008 when he revealed his secret relationship through the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph. He claimed that Diana was very serious about this relationship, and when she went to Pakistan to visit his family, she wore traditional local clothing and even had the idea of converting to Islam for him. However, Hasnat Khan later voluntarily ended the relationship, saying that Diana was "heartbroken about it" and even secretly followed and harassed him. Oliver Sisberg directed 'Downfall', which will be produced by Ecosse Films in the UK. Production will begin in March this year and plans to travel to Pakistan, Angola, Paris, and other locations. The film has a budget of $15 million.
