Description
Plot Summary
The Lonely Survivor is adapted from Marcus Luttrell's memoir of the same name. In 2005, he and three other members of the US Navy SEALs were tasked with carrying out an assassination mission against the leader of Al Qaeda, but were accidentally discovered by local shepherds (two children and an elderly man) during the operation. After some discussion, the assault team decided to release these shepherds according to the rules of engagement - although they also knew that these people might go to report the situation. Not long after, they were attacked by 250 Taliban soldiers, and three of the four SEALs sacrificed their lives, leaving only Marcus Ratel as the "lone survivor".
