Plot Summary

In the near future, Western countries and China are caught in a Cold War, and the tense atmosphere of major powers has prompted a competitive development of advanced weapons, including artificial intelligence robots. Dr. Vincent McCarthy (played by Toby Stephens) transferred from a private enterprise to a research institution supported by the Department of Defense in order to cure his daughter's illness. He is dedicated to transforming soldiers who have suffered fatal injuries on the battlefield into intelligent robots with powerful combat capabilities, while secretly stealing money to treat his daughter's illness. Beautiful Ava (played by Caity Lotz) enters the institution through multiple tests and becomes Vincent's assistant. After some trial and error, the two finally established their trust in each other. Unexpectedly, on a night return journey, they were attacked by spies from China. Vincent narrowly escaped, while Eva, who was on the brink of death, was transformed into an intelligent robot.
