Plot Summary

The inheritor of an old apartment (played by Simon Yam) installed a pinhole camera in the room and rented it out at a low price. This landlord doesn't want hardworking and well behaved students, boring office workers, or frugal and simple families. He only wants "normal people" who have chaotic potential and can satisfy his desire to peek. Therefore, the lecherous physical education teacher Lao Zhang (played by Zhuang Kaixun), who has a history of domestic violence after divorcing, the useless college student Boyan (played by Hou Yanxi) who watches short movies, plays video games, and clings to the internet every day, the single father Mr. Wang (played by You Anshun) and the innocent fourth grade Wang Xiaomei (played by He Jierou), the secretly cohabiting same-sex lover Linghu (played by Sen Jun), the married university professor Guo Li (played by Li Kangsheng) who conceals his homosexuality, the cheating and unruly office beauty Miss Chen (played by Li Xing), and the exceptionally mysterious and pure girl Yingru (played by Shao Yuwei), have successively moved into the landlord's eerie apartment pre filled with pinhole cameras. Six rooms, eight tenants, and one landlord, unknown secrets and uncontrollable desires run around this apartment. The landlord, who dreams of controlling everything, begins to fool the tenants in an attempt to uncover the most complex side of human nature. The director produces a wonderful movie that interweaves black humor, fantasy, reasoning, and is closest to human nature.
