Plot Summary
This drama is a sequel to the popular mini series "The Bible" on the History Channel. This 12 episode mini series depicts the intense conflicts that erupted among various factions in the Holy Land after the death of Jesus. The public strongly demanded fair treatment, the Roman army brutally suppressed the common people, religious communities were in turmoil, the high priest and Herod the Great competed for power and profit, and fanatical revolutionaries resorted to force to regain their own "promised land". At the same time, a small group of loyal followers of Jesus vigorously resisted the Roman religious persecution system and maintained their authority in their own territory.
