Description
Plot Summary
The story takes place in a remote town in France, where our protagonist Yu Lian (played by Kim Rossi Stuart) was born. In turbulent times, Yu Lian had lofty ideals from a young age. Although he was born humble, he still harbored the fantasy of entering the upper class society and constantly worked hard towards it. At the age of 19, Yu Liancheng became a private tutor at the home of Mayor Reynald (played by Bernard Verley) and had an ambiguous relationship with Mayor's wife Louis (played by Carole Bouquet). After the incident was exposed, Yu Liancheng was forced to leave the small town. After many twists and turns, Yu Liancheng became the private secretary of the Marquis of Lamor (Claude Rich), and his daughter Mathilde (Judith Godr è che) fell in love with Yu Liancheng. From Mathilde, Julien saw hope for success, but a letter from Louis exposed Julien's dark past and shattered his hopes completely
