Plot Summary

Similar to Kenloch style British independent films, it allows the audience to stay out of the matter and get involved in it. The tightly clenched hands have become a lingering haze of reality in the future. The two young actors are outstanding and the photography is great. 'The Selfish Giant' tells a contemporary fable story that takes place between 13-year-old Arbor and his best friend Swifty. These two boys were ostracized by the school and others in the community, and later met the local scrap dealer "Kitten", also known as the "selfish giant". So they started driving a carriage to help him collect discarded metal. Swift was naturally good at dealing with horses, but Uncle imitated the behavior of the "little cat" and really hoped to make the "little cat" look up to him and earn another sum of money. But the 'little cat' preferred Swift, which made Uncle feel hurt and excluded, causing a rift in the relationship between the two boys. Uncle is becoming increasingly greedy, exploiting others more and more, and more like a 'little cat'. As the relationship between the three became increasingly tense, a tragedy occurred that completely changed their fate.
