Description
Plot Summary
In the bleak and gloomy city of Washington, in an ordinary apartment building, single mother Kris (played by Ellen Burstyn) and daughter Reagan live here. However, in recent times, Kris has been tormented by her daughter's strange behavior and has become restless. Ruigen's behavior and demeanor are strange and different from ordinary people. Klee brought her to seek medical advice, but to no avail, even psychiatrists were helpless. Under great helplessness, the almost desperate mother sought help from Father Morin (played by Max von Sydow), an elderly man with extensive experience in exorcism. On a terrifying night, the priest engaged in a series of battles with the demon hiding inside the girl's body. This is a demon night destined to be unforgettable for countless people... The film is adapted from a novel written by William Batty based on a real exorcism event in 1949, and won the Academy Award for Best Mixing and Best Adapted Screenplay.
