Description
Plot Summary
In 1941, the Chinese War of Resistance Against Japan had already lasted for four years in Shanghai. With the outbreak of the Pacific War, Britain and the United States joined the war, and the lives of Westerners in the Shanghai International Settlement also experienced tremendous turbulence. 11 year old Jamie was one of them. On the way to escape, Jamie and his parents got lost. He met American Bessie and Frank, who almost sold him. The three of them wandered to the Zhabei concentration camp. In the concentration camp, J amie understood the cruelty of war, learned the survival philosophy of "doing anything to eat", and also met Japanese children who, like him, loved airplanes. However, deep down in his heart, he has always yearned for the day when he can reunite with his parents.
