Description
Plot Summary
In a small city in the United States, local gang leader Leo and his good friend and assistant Tom (Gabriel Byrne) both fall in love with the sister of a gangster named Bernie (John Turturro), Vina (Marcia Gay Harden). The two friends even turn against each other for Vina's love. At the same time, another local gang boss, Caspar, tried his best to win Tom over and promised to help him repay his gambling debts, on the condition of killing Bernie. Tom secretly helped Bernie hide in order to please Verna, but claimed to Caspar that he had killed Bernie. Unexpectedly, Bernie bit back and threatened Tom to help him kill Caspar, otherwise he would reappear. The situation suddenly became chaotic.
