Description

Plot Summary

After the Gulf War, the United States suffered a bombing attack on the Hubar complex during the Southern Watch operation in Iraq in 1992. The US military kidnapped the suspected leader of the organization and sent him to the US for secret investigation. FBI agent Anthony Hubbard (Denzel Washington) and his Arabic partner Frank (Tony Shalhoub) are responsible for investigating the mysterious message "release" received during the New York bus suicide bombing terrorist attack. CIA agent Elise (played by Annette Bening) insists that Sami Bouajila, an Arab who processed a student visa for terrorists to enter the United States, is an important informant, but refuses to disclose any other information. As the terrorist attacks escalated, General William Devereaux (played by Bruce Willis) entered New York in the name of the president to impose military control on Brooklyn, imprisoning all young and middle-aged Arabs for trial. The military's trampling on human rights and democracy has sparked strong resentment among New York citizens, and the threat of protests and the next wave of terrorist activities has put everyone in a dilemma
