Description
Plot Summary
Matt (Denzel Washington) and his wife Alex (Eva Mendes), who is also a police officer, have been in a cold war for a long time, and their long-standing marriage is on the brink of collapse. At this critical moment, the girl Ann (played by Sanaa Lathan) whom Matt once had a crush on and her husband Chris (played by Dean Cain) who was paralyzed in bed moved back to the small town, which left Matt's emotions unsettled for a long time. During the conversation, Matt unexpectedly learned that Ann had cancer, and only an expensive treatment could save her life. In despair, Ann and Matt came up with the idea of Chris' huge insurance, which he took advantage of his position to provide Ann with a huge sum of money. Unexpectedly, an accident occurred. An and Chris' apartment caught fire, and two unidentified bodies appeared in the public eye, while the huge sum of money that should have been there disappeared without a trace.
