Plot Summary

Although Trevor (played by Brendan Fraser) is a university address professor, he often does things that challenge tradition. He believed that Jules Verne's novels were not science fiction, but actually existed. It is precisely because of this opposing theory that it has been circulated as a joke in the academy, causing his academic reputation to be ruined. However, Trevor paid no attention to these and firmly believed that his theory was correct. To validate his theory, Trevor embarked on a trip to Iceland with his nephew Sean (played by Josh Hutcherson) and local guide Hannah (played by Anita Briem). During their journey, the three of them accidentally discovered a peculiar cave and, while inquiring, stepped through thin ice and fell into an abyss without a bottom. However, when they woke up, they found a mysterious inner earth world with all kinds of strange creatures, just like the scenes described in Verne's novels.
