Plot Summary

The passing of his father (Christopher Plummer) had a profound impact on Oliver (Ewan McGregor). There are bottlenecks at work, feeling exhausted from interpersonal communication, and unable to let go of the constraints when meeting the girl I like. During the days when my father was away, I would occasionally recall the day when things started to change. One day after his mother passed away, his father brought Oliver up to him and told him two things. One is that he has cancer; Secondly, he announced coming out. Oliver was initially surprised and unable to bear it. But during his father's treatment, seeing him get along well with his same-sex partner and seeing his father regain vitality and vigor, Oliver's heart is slowly healing. Although his father has passed away, his influence still lingers, especially on Oliver's attitude towards life and its changes. These guide him to become brave now, and in the process of interacting with others, everyone is just a beginner. The film is adapted from the true story of the director and his father.
