Plot Summary

Dante (voiced by Graham McTavish) was lost in a dark forest at the age of 35. He struggled to find a way out of the maze and arrived at the foot of a sunny little hill at dawn. This is the beacon that illuminates the journey. He was climbing step by step towards the mountaintop when suddenly three fierce beasts (leopards, lions, and wolves symbolizing lust, rape, and greed) rushed towards him. Dante shouted loudly for help. At this moment, the ancient Roman poet Virgil (voiced by Peter Jessop) appeared. He was entrusted by Beatrice (voiced by Vanessa Branch) to help Dante get out of his way and guide him through hell and purgatory. Hell is shaped like a funnel that is wide at the top and narrow at the bottom, with a total of 9 layers. The first level is the waiting place, where ancient pagans who were born before Christ and did not receive baptism waited for God's judgment. In the remaining 8 layers, the souls of sinners receive different severe punishments based on the sins committed during their lifetime (such as lust, gluttony, greed, anger, cult worship, rape, fraud, and betrayal).
