Plot Summary

This film is adapted from Ubisoft's 2003 video game of the same name. Fifteen years ago, the orphan Dustin (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) was adopted into the palace by the Persian king at the market for his bravery and fighting spirit. Fifteen years later, as he grew up, Dustin went on a campaign with his two brothers and uncle (played by Ben Kingsley) to launch a surprise attack on the holy city of Alamut, and was betrothed to the king. He then betrothed Alamut Princess Tamina (played by Gemma Arterton) to him. Dustin accidentally obtained the "Sands of Time" dagger that Princess Tamina had tried her best to protect, but was falsely accused of poisoning the old king and forced to flee. In order to clear his name and ensure that the great Persian Empire did not fall into his hands, Dustin coerced Princess Tamina into entering the infamous "Slave Valley" with him, destroying the ostrich race of Chief Amal (Alfred Molina). At the funeral of the old king, Dustin finally discovered the mastermind behind the scenes, and Princess Tamina finally revealed the secret of the 'Sands of Time' to the truth
