Plot Summary

The documentary film "City Lights" was jointly produced by the Central News Documentary Film Studio and the Shanghai World Expo Coordination Bureau, and is one of the official films of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. The 2010 Shanghai World Expo, with the theme of "Better City, Better Life", invited guests from all over to gather on both sides of the Pujiang River to discuss the past, present, and future of urban development. City Lights "closely follows the theme of the World Expo, depicting the changes in Shanghai, the city, and the times through the stories of characters and historical landscapes. Its footprints not only go deep into the neighborhoods of Shanghai, but also explore the civilizations of the five continents around the world, with ups and downs and vivid richness. The film reflects the attitude and determination of the Chinese people to successfully host the World Expo "with the strength of the whole country and the wisdom of the world", and depicts the richness and new image of the Chinese people who gather the essence of world civilization, condense the strength of all corners of the world, and ignite the light of hope for mankind.
