Description

Plot Summary

Beer tycoon Fred Heineken was kidnapped at gunpoint in 1983 and imprisoned for three weeks. He was eventually rescued after paying a ransom of approximately 600 million Taiwanese dollars. However, the story is not over yet. After the release of the most powerful man in the Netherlands at that time, he immediately used various connections to apprehend the kidnappers and bring them to justice. A battle of wits for revenge is about to begin. Adapted from a sensational real event, the director centers the story on the contrast and confrontation between the then 25-year-old kidnapper Rum and the wealthy businessman Heineken. On the one hand, through the terrifying experience, this wealthy businessman understands his inner fragility and indifference, and only then does he realize the importance of cherishing seemingly natural things in life; On the other hand, through the violent provocation of this young criminal, it also highlights the angry resistance of another group of marginalized individuals in society towards this world. This is the work of the most famous actor in the Netherlands, Rugehauer, who returned to his home country's film industry after a 30-year absence, and can be regarded as another peak in his acting career.
