Plot Summary

Twenty years ago, the kind and approachable Haruki Kawashima (played by Sayuri Yoshinaga) and her husband Yukio (played by Kyobu Shibata) arrived at a cold island located in Hokkaido. Chun became the teacher of only six students in the local elementary school and discovered their singing talent. However, an accident took the life of the traveler, and after being criticized by the villagers, Chun An left the island in despair. Returning to the present moment, the recently retired Chun receives visits from two detectives, which leads to the involvement of one of the six teenagers from that year, Noboru Suzuki (played by Hayashi Moriyama), in a murder case. Holding various questions in her heart, Chun returned to the long lost island and visited students such as Manami Toda (played by Mitsuki Manjima), Naoki Ikushima (played by Ryoki Kagura), Yuki Ando (played by Aoi Miyazaki), Shigeki Fujimoto (played by Eiko Koike), and Isamu Matsuda (played by Ryuhei Matsuda). The events of that year left an indelible shadow in their hearts, and can this reunion open up the hearts of teachers and students? This film is adapted from "Homework Twenty Years Later (Accommodation Questions Twenty Years Later)" in Kou Jiamiao's short story collection "Round Trip Letters (Round Trip Letters)".
