Plot Summary

Nick Cassidy (played by Sam Worthington) was once an honest and responsible police officer, but was sentenced to 25 years in prison for allegedly stealing $40 million worth of diamonds. His only chance to leave prison was to attend his father's funeral and escape during the funeral. However, it is puzzling that he did not leave the country, but instead opened a room on the 24th floor of a Manhattan hotel, meticulously cleaned it, only to fall under the gaze of the busiest city in New York. His actions quickly attracted a large number of police and media, and a young negotiation expert named Lydia (played by Elizabeth Banks) attempted to persuade him back into the house. However, through gradual persuasion, Lydia realized that Nick had been framed and imprisoned by the diamond owner David (played by Ed Harris) for the purpose of obtaining high insurance premiums. However, what Lydia didn't expect even more was that Nick's suicide was just a cover for diversionary tactics, as his brother and girlfriend were carrying out revenge plans in the jewelry store building across the street
