Plot Summary

The filming location of 'My Devil Brothers' is set in the lower classes of the East End of London, telling the street life of Arab second-generation immigrant brothers Rash (James Floyd) and Little Mo (Fady Elsayed). Handsome older brother Rush is a member of a local gang and uses the money from selling drugs to support his family. My older brother is an idol that Xiao Mo admires, and he has always hoped to have a big fight with him. However, Rush has different expectations for his younger brother, hoping that he can go to college and succeed. After his close friend died in a street fight, Rush began to reflect on his life and decided to quit. He became an assistant to a photographer, and as a result, the two unexpectedly developed a romantic relationship. After learning about his older brother's sexual orientation, Xiao Mo's opinion of him plummeted. Angry and confused, he began to wander around the gang, preparing to pick up the past abandoned by his brother This film is the debut feature film of British female director Sally Al Hussein, and won the Best Cinematography Award in the 2012 Sundance World Feature Film category. The jury praised the film for "presenting a small fragment of contemporary British society with a passionate and jumping dramatic tension." In addition, the film has won many accolades such as the European Cinema Special Award at the 62nd Berlin Film Festival, the Best Newcomer Award for British Independence Spirit, and the Best Newcomer Award at the London Film Festival.
