Description
Plot Summary
The Railway Man is adapted from Eric Lomax's bestselling novel of the same name. During World War II, British soldier Lomax was captured by the Japanese army and forced to work as a railway laborer in Burma Siam (formerly known as Thailand), enduring unimaginable physical and mental devastation. He struggled to escape the shadow throughout his life. Thirty years later, Lomax learned that a Japanese soldier who had tortured him was still alive. He decided to meet this person not to seek revenge, but to reconcile with the past.
