Plot Summary

The Box Monster "is a humorous fable story adapted from Alan Snow's novel" Here Be Monsters ". Cheesebridge was a glamorous city during the Victorian era, where residents were obsessed with wealth, status, and stinky cheese! However, beneath their unique cobblestone road lived a group of "terrifying" monsters who crawled out of the sewer every night and stole children and cheese from residents' homes - of course, this was just one side of the local residents' story! In fact, "Box Monsters" are a group of very cute and shy creatures who hide in recyclable cardboard boxes, just like turtles like to hide in their own shells. The Box Monsters adopted a human orphan and named him "Eggs". This little boy became good friends with Winnie, an adventurous girl from the ground world. They needed to build a bridge between the Box Monsters and humans - especially when human politicians portrayed the Box Monsters as a group of terrifying monsters for the sake of votes, inciting the public to expel them... "Box Monsters" is LAIKA's third animated film after "Coraline" and "ParaNorman", directed by Anthony Stacchi from the animated film "Open Season" and "Coraline" and "ParaNorman". The story of 'Norman' was co directed by artist Graham Annable. The film has a strong voice acting lineup, including Ben Kingsley, Elle Fanning, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and others.
