Plot Summary

In the scorching summer, the fireworks display in Maoxia Town is about to take place. Yaskawa Naisha (voiced by Hirose Ringo), who is studying at a local high school, did not immerse herself in the happy and peaceful atmosphere. She is about to move to another city with her mother (voiced by Matsuko), and her heart is full of loss. During an impromptu swimming competition, Naisha defeated her classmates Shiodome Shimada (voiced by Shohei Sugada) and Yusuke Azumi (voiced by Mamoru Miyano). Later, she confessed that she liked Yusuke and hoped to play with him during the fireworks display. But Yusuke and Norimichi later got involved in a debate with their friends about whether fireworks were round or flat, and they agreed to go to a certain place together that night to witness it. Yusuke broke his promise as a result, and Norimichi, who also secretly liked Naisha, discovered the girl's secrets and thoughts. He blamed his friends for this and also longed for time to start over, welcoming the game back then... This film is adapted from the TV drama of the same name by Shunji Iwai.
