Plot Summary

On the eve of the Marco Polo Bridge Incident, a young Chinese American named Little Hendler (played by Peng Yuyan) traveled from the United States to the ocean and returned to Beijing, where he had been away for over a decade, to practice medicine. However, his real name is Li Tianran. When he was thirteen years old, he witnessed his master's family being wiped out by his senior brother Zhu Qianlong (played by Liao Fan) and Japanese man Genjiro (played by Zeta Kenya). The natural survivor who narrowly escaped was sent to the other side of the ocean by American Dr. Hendler, where he underwent extremely rigorous training.
