Plot Summary

Di comes from a misty mountainous area in northern Vietnam. She is 12 years old and a Miao girl. In this ethnic minority, girls get married at a very young age. Before getting married, there is usually a controversial custom of "bride snatching", where a girl is "snatched away" by her future husband on New Year's Eve, and then negotiations are held between the two families. Di's sister and their mother are no exception, so it is not uncommon for women and girls to discuss sex and marital life during pre marriage preparations. At the same time, Di is also in school, where she is exposed to completely different values, and even Di's mother tries to warn her daughter about the issue of child marriage in her own way.
